Andrew Arato
Andrew Arato (born August 22, 1944 in Budapest ) is an American sociologist and professor of sociology at the New School in New York.
Life
Andrew Arato acquired in 1975 at the University of Chicago the academic degree Ph.D. in history. He is best known for his work Civil Society and Political Theory (Studies in Contemporary German Social Thought) , written with Jean L. Cohen , and his journal Constellations , an international journal for critical theory and democratic theory , which he published together with Nancy Fraser .
