Andrew Graham (astronomer)
Andrew Graham (born April 8, 1815 in County Fermanagh , † November 5, 1908 ) was an Irish astronomer .
Life
He discovered on 25. April 1848 at the Observatory of Markree Castle in County Sligo ( Ireland ninth) Asteroid Metis .
Between 1848 and 1856 he and his assistant discovered around 60,066 stars along the ecliptic from meridian observations , of which only 8,965 had already been determined. Her catalog was published in four volumes. Graham was considered an exceptional observer. He calculated the orbits of 198 comets for a book published in 1852.
