Andrew Jin Daoyuan
Andrew Jin Daoyuan ( Chinese 靳道远 ) (born June 13, 1929 in Lucheng, Republic of China ; † November 20, 2019 in Nantangong, People's Republic of China ) was the Roman Catholic Bishop of Changzhi .
Andrew Jin Daoyuan was ordained a priest in 1956 . He spent the 1950s in a labor camp . He was briefly released, but with the Cultural Revolution , he was re-imprisoned from 1966 to 1976. After his release from prison, he was forced to work in agriculture. On January 6, 2000, he was appointed Bishop of the Changzhi Diocese by the Chinese Catholic Patriotic Association . The appointment was made in 2008 by Pope Benedict XVI. accepted.
