Andrew "Tridge" Tridgell (born February 28, 1967 in Sydney ) is an Australian programmer . Together with Jeremy Allison, he played a key role in the development of the Samba software , for which he received the Free Software Award 2005.

Tridgell graduated from the Australian National University (ANU) with a PhD and now works for IBM after spending a year at the Open Source Development Labs (OSDL).
