The anemometer Hill is 25 m meters the highest elevation of Stonington Island in Marguerite Bay in the West Graham Lands . The hill is a good 110 meters northeast northeast of Fishtrap Cove .
He was mapped during the United States Antarctic Service Expedition (1939-1941), whose eastern base camp ( East Base ) was on Stonington Island. The UK Antarctic Place-Names Committee named it so because the mound was used as the location for an anemometer in 1961 .
