The tomb Angel of Grief ( Angelo del Dolore / Angel of Mourning ) was created in 1894 by the American sculptor and poet William Wetmore Story (1819–1895) for himself and his wife and is in the Protestant cemetery in Rome.

Emelyn Story died on January 7, 1895, and her husband followed her on October 7 of the same year. Both are buried under the tomb. The work of art has been reproduced many times, both in exactly copied and more or less similar poses. The motif has also been used on several music album covers.
