Angela Braly
Angela Braly (born July 1, 1961 in Dallas , Texas ) is an American manager. She is the President and CEO of WellPoint Inc. and a member of the board of directors.
Braly took over this position on July 1, 2001. Before that, she was deputy general manager and head of the press department. In this position she was responsible for marketing, public relations and all legal issues.
Before joining WellPoint, she worked as a lawyer. She graduated from Texas Tech University Law School and received her JD from Southern Methodist University .
In 2007 she made $ 14.86 million, mostly in stock deals.
According to the US business magazine Forbes , she was the fourth most powerful woman in the world in 2008.
