Angela Fraunheim

Angela Fraunheim (* mid-June 1964 ) is a German table tennis player . She was one of the best players in the GDR in the 1980s and won two titles at GDR championships in doubles.

Career

Fraunheim began her career at the BSG Aufbau Großröhrsdorf association , from which the SG Großröhrsdorf association emerged . Here she still plays today (April 2020) in a men's team in the district league.

At the national championships of the GDR, Fraunheim was champion in doubles together with Eva Kummer in 1984 and 1986 . In 1983, 1984 and 1988 she reached the mixed final with Siegfried Lemke .

Angela Fraunheim was a GDR national player. However, since the GDR isolated itself internationally in table tennis from 1972 onwards as a result of the competitive sports decision, Fraunheim hardly had the opportunity to distinguish itself internationally.

After her marriage, she performed under the name Stanke .
