Career

Kummer began her career at Saatgut Quedlinburg and moved to BSG Lokomotive Leipzig-Mitte in 1986 , with whose women's team she was GDR team champion four times in a row from 1987 to 1990.

At the national championships of the GDR, Kummer was champion in doubles four times in a row, namely in 1984 with Angela Fraunheim , 1985 with Iris Albrecht , 1986 again with Angela Fraunheim and 1987 with Conny Sauermann . In 1985 and 1986 he won mixed titles with Uwe Lindenlaub . With Conny Sauermann she was in the doubles final in 1988 and 1990.

Since the GDR isolated itself internationally in table tennis from 1972 as a result of the competitive sports decision, Eva Kummer did not have the opportunity to distinguish herself internationally.

At least since 2006 until today (2011) Kummer plays at the TTC 1956 Colditz in the big league .
