Uwe Lindenlaub

Uwe Lindenlaub (born July 6, 1966 in Nordhausen ) is a German table tennis player . He was one of the best players in the GDR in the 1980s and won the last GDR individual championship in 1990.

National successes

Uwe Lindenlaub won a total of six titles at the national championship of the GDR. From 1988 to 1990 he was GDR individual champion three times in a row. He won the mixed competition in 1985 and 1986 with Eva Kummer and in 1990 with Conny Reichert.

Lindenlaub played for the BSG Glückauf Bleicherode club . After the reunification he joined the clubs TTC Helga Hannover (from 1990; 2nd Bundesliga), Fuhlen and later TSV Hagenburg (from 2000), where he was active in the regional league until 2007. Today he plays in the second team at TTS Borsum (Oberliga).

International

Since the GDR closed itself off internationally in table tennis from 1972 onwards, Uwe Lindenlaub had no opportunity to distinguish himself internationally. After the fall of the Wall, he took part in the European Championship in Gothenburg for the GDR in 1990.
