Siegfried Lemke (born October 16, 1939 in Schwalgendorf , East Prussia, today Siemiany District Iława , Poland) is a former German table tennis player . He played 104 international matches for the former GDR.

Siegfried Lemke has been playing table tennis since 1953. He started his career in Bad Doberan and joined SC Leipzig in 1959. In 1969 he switched to Stahl Finow . He was GDR champion 33 times and participated in the 1961 , 1963 , 1965 and 1967 world championships in the GDR team. He reached the quarter-finals in a double with Wolfgang father in 1967 , where the Japanese Nobuhiko Hasegawa / Mitsuru Kōno were too strong. He was nominated for European championships three times, namely in 1960 , 1966 and 1968 . At the EM in 1964 he was not allowed to compete because he was banned from the GDR association DTTV for gross indiscipline .

As a result of the competitive sports decision in 1969, when table tennis was classified as not worthy of funding, Lemke's international career ended. By then he had completed 104 internationals.
