Rudolf Häpke

Rudolf Häpke (born October 29, 1884 in Bremen , † January 7, 1930 in Marburg ) was a German historian .

Häpke was a student of the Hanseatic historian Dietrich Schäfer , with whom he completed his habilitation in 1914. Häpke became a librarian at the Department of History at the University of Berlin and was then Professor of History at the University of Marburg . His research focus was the history of the Hanseatic League .
