Angelika Hunger

Angelika Hunger (born November 13, 1952 in Bergen on Rügen ) is a German politician ( Die Linke ).

Life and work

Angelika Hunger attended the Polytechnische Oberschule until 1969 and then attended special classes for chemistry, which she graduated from high school in 1971. She studied until 1974, graduating with a diploma engineer for process engineering .

From 1974 to 1981 she was employed as a research assistant at the Technical University of Merseburg and from 1982 to 1992 at the chemical plant in Buna and Dow Chemical . From 1993 to 1996 she was employed by the ecological renovation company Bitterfeld. In 1997 she was unemployed for a year. From 1998 to 2005 she was employed as a consultant for the PDS parliamentary group.

She is married and has three children and four grandchildren. She is a member of the Local Agenda 21 Merseburg Association.

She joined the SED in 1972 , was a member of the Merseburg-Querfurt district council from 1994 to 2007 and of the Saale district since 2007 .

MPs

For the PDS she moved in 2005 ( 4th electoral period ) after the resignation of a parliamentary group member in the state parliament of Saxony-Anhalt , where she sits for the left parliamentary group in the committee for food, agriculture and forestry as well as in the committee for the environment.
