Angelika Reichart

Angelika Reichart (born August 25, 1953 in Augsburg ) is a German lawyer and was a judge at the Federal Court of Justice from 2005 to 2016 .

After completing her legal training, Reichart worked from 1979 to 1983 as a research assistant and as an academic adviser to a chair for civil law and labor law at the University of Augsburg . There she did her PhD. iur. Subsequently, from November 1983 Reichart worked in the higher judicial service of the Free State of Bavaria , where she initially worked in civil chambers and a criminal chamber of the Augsburg Regional Court . In June 1985 she was appointed public prosecutor at the Augsburg public prosecutor's office , and in May 1986 she was appointed judge at the Augsburg district court . From April 1998 she was another supervising judge. In April 2000 she was promoted to judge at the Higher Regional Court and assigned to an external civil senate at the Munich Higher Regional Court in Augsburg .

On March 17, 2005, Reichart was elected as a judge at the Federal Court of Justice by the judges' selection committee. The appointment by the Federal President took place on June 1, 2005. At the Federal Court of Justice she was assigned to the second civil senate responsible for company law until she retired on September 1, 2016 .

Reichart is married and has one child.
