Angelo Bellei

Angelo Bellei was an engine and vehicle designer at Ferrari .

Angelo Bellei developed the first Ferrari V8 racing engine in 1964 . The 90-degree DOHC engine made 210 hp with a displacement of 1487 cm³ and was used in the Ferrari 158 . With the 158er, John Surtees became Formula 1 World Champion in 1964 and Scuderia won the Constructors ' Cup .

Bellei stayed with Ferrari for many years and in 1984 was the project manager responsible for the development and construction of the Ferrari Testarossa .
