Angelo Maria Fiorè

Angelo Maria Fiorè (* 1660 ; † June 4, 1723 in Turin ) was an Italian composer and cellist of the Baroque.

Live and act

Angelo Maria Fiorè was an important cello virtuoso during his lifetime. Fiorè was active in the court orchestra of Parma from 1688 to 1695 . He was one of the early composers who created solo literature for the cello . In 1696 his 14 Trattenimenti da camera a due strumenti, violino e violone e violoncello e cimbalo , op. 1, which in addition to 10 violin sonatas four sonatas for cello and B. c. contain. In 1705 the Trattimenti appeared in a reprint by Estienne Roger . Furthermore, several symphonies for cello and B. c. as well as arias from a pasticcio performed in Milan in 1686 . In 1697 Fiorè was accepted as a member of the Accademia Filarmonica in Bologna. From 1697 to 1723 he was a cellist in the Turin court orchestra of the Duke of Savoy.

Fiorès Son Andrea Stefano Fiorè , born in Milan in 1686 , composer and conductor, was considered a musical prodigy.
