Angelo Musone

Angelo Musone (born September 19, 1963 in Naples ) is a former Italian boxer . Musone was a bronze medalist at the 1984 Olympic Games .

Career

amateur

1982 Musone was Italian junior champion (U19) in the heavyweight division (+81 kg), but did not get past the quarter-finals at the European Junior Championships.

At the Mediterranean Games in 1983 he took second place in the newly established super heavyweight (+91 kg) and third place at the World Cup in Rome in the same year . The following year Musone took part in the Olympic Games for Italy and surprisingly reached the semi-finals after victories over James Omondi, Kenya (5: 0), Marvin Perez, Bolivia ( where ), and Hakan Brock, Sweden (5: 0), but which he lost to the eventual Olympic champion Henry Tillman , USA 5-0) and thus won the Olympic bronze medal.
