Anglicization

As Anglicisation refers to approximate the case of a single foreign language word or name to the English sound-letter association .

English noodle and poodle are anglicizations of the German words noodle and poodle . Well-known Anglicized words of Indian origin include bungalow , chutney , cummerbund , curry , punch and shampoo . On the other hand, half a loan translation is the Anglicisation of the Hessian noble family Battenberg in Mountbatten ( English mount 'Berg') from 1917.
