The Anhui University ( Chinese 安徽大学 , pinyin Anhui Daxue ) is a public university in the People's Republic of China , based in Hefei , capital of the province of Anhui . The short form of the name is Chinese 安大 , Pinyin Āndà .

The university is part of Project 211 and in 2005 had around 35,000 students and almost 2,500 academic employees.
