Guide to Sexual Dissatisfaction (Comic)
Instructions for sexual dissatisfaction is the comic version of the stage program of the same name by Austrian cabaret artist Bernhard Ludwig from 2005. Ludwig entrusted the creation of the comic to comic author Günther Payr and illustrator Tim Jost. The comic is - just like Scott McClouds - in black and white. The first edition of the book (hardcover) has been published by Ueberreuter . An English version of the comic, translated by David Seycek, was published by Ueberreuter in 2005 under the title “A Guide to Sexual Misery” ( ISBN 3800071797 ). The paperback version was published in 2008 by Goldmann Verlag . A revised and expanded version of the comic was published in 2014 as a special edition by Bernhard Ludwig Eigenverlag, which is available as a Kindle edition and paperback edition on Amazon.
Just like the stage program, the comic version is kept in the style of Provocative Therapy by Frank Farrelly , in which the spirit of contradiction, self-responsibility and independence of the reader are to be awakened and developed with humorous provocation. Thus, the book should not only entertain, but also provide therapy at the same time.
