Bernhard Ludwig (born November 18, 1948 in Steyr ) is an Austrian cabaret artist . As a trained psychologist and psychotherapist , he integrates psychotherapeutic topics and methods, as well as the 10in2 diet into his cabaret programs.

Life

Born in 1948, Ludwig embarked on a career as a psychologist and psychotherapist after dropping out of medical school, specializing in behavioral interventions in overweight, heart attack and high blood pressure patients. He also dealt with biofeedback and company consulting. Influenced by Frank Farrelly's provocative psychotherapy , he began to deal with therapeutic humor and began performing as a cabaret artist in 1992. Here he tried to implement his experiences and knowledge from therapeutic practice in the context of his cabaret programs. He himself describes his style as "seminar cabaret", as he often tries to convey scientific knowledge in his programs in an understandable and entertaining way. He achieved greater awareness in particular with the program “Instructions on Sexual Dissatisfaction”, in which he separates the audience according to sex, and which he claims can save “up to 10 hours of sex therapy”. There was also a cinema version of this program . Other well-known programs are "Instructions for heart attack" and "Instructions for diet madness". He also publishes his cabaret programs in the form of books and comics, some in English. Since 2002 he has also performed in English. His latest program, which has also appeared in book form, "10in2 - Lustvoll Leben" is about his nutritional philosophy, with which he himself has lost more than 20 kg of weight: one day of normal eating and one day of fasting, i. H. just drinking. One day of eating = 1 plus one day of not eating = 0 and that in two days results in the formula 10in2, which Ludwig uses as a method of intermittent fasting , supplemented by qualitative nutritional aspects such as dealing with alcohol and physical activity, since 2009 as a registered trademark 10in2 together with his Partner Erwin Haas markets.

In 1999 Bernhard Ludwig received the Austrian Cabaret Prize Karl . In 2005 he was awarded the professional title of professor “for his many years of service to science and education” .
