Ann Faraday (* before 1972) is an Australian writer based in Sydney ( Australia ) and her husband John Wren Lewis and a daughter.

She wrote books on dream interpretation in the 1970s . Her view of dreams is based on the ideas of Carl Gustav Jung , Calvin Hall and Fritz Perls and his gestalt therapy .

Her approach is that every person should have an individual dream symbolism that must be recognized. Furthermore, she demonstrates in practical examples her methods for deciphering these symbols, for using the information they contain and for resolving internal conflicts.

In her book “Positive Power of Dreams” she claims that Sigmund Freud is a patriarchal, misogynistic figure who needs to be overcome.

Ann Faraday received her Ph. D. in Dream Research. She is one of the main characters in the Australian Transpersonal Psychology Association .
