Anna Alàs i Jové (* 1980 in Terrassa , Catalonia) is a Spanish opera singer ( mezzo-soprano ).

Life

Anna Alàs Jové was born in Terrassa ( Catalonia ), where she received her first singing lessons from Alícia Prieto and later continued with Julia Conwell (Vienna). During her studies at the Academy of Music in Catalonia (ESMuC) with Enedina Lloris and Mireia Pintó, she received a scholarship at the Karlsruhe University of Music as part of an Erasmus program (2005/2006) . There she was a member of the opera school and the song class of the song duo Mitsuko Shirai / Hartmut Höll . After completing her vocal studies, she was engaged at the International Opera Studio of the State Theater in Nuremberg . She later completed her master's degree in song and oratorio at the Hanns Eisler University of Music in Berlin with Anneliese Fried and Wolfram Rieger .

Due to her interest in new music, she has already appeared in many world premieres. During her work as a soloist, she has acquired a broad oratorio repertoire that ranges from the baroque to the modern. Her engagements have taken her to many important opera and concert halls in Europe. She also took part in radio and television recordings for Bavarian Radio , Deutschlandradio Kultur , WDR 3 and others.
