Anna Holzer

Anna Holzer (born April 29, 1871 in Gmünd ; † January 10, 1952 in Krems an der Donau ) was an Austrian politician ( CSP ) and teacher. Holzer was a member of the Lower Austrian state parliament from 1921 to 1934 .

Holzer worked as a teacher in Vienna and then lived as a professor's wife in Krems an der Donau. She belonged to the local council of Krems and was active as chairwoman of the Catholic women's organization in the diocese of St. Pölten. She was the first female member of the state parliament in the Christian Social Party and represented it between May 11, 1921 and October 30, 1934 in the Lower Austrian state parliament.

With her husband, a middle school professor, Anna Holzer had four children, including Hildegard Holzer, who was the first director of the seminar for church women professions in Vienna (Obersanktveit) from 1945 to 1968.
