Anna Kohlweis

Anna Kohlweis (* 1984 in Klagenfurt ) released three albums under the pseudonym Paper Bird on the Austrian label Seayou Records. She has also appeared as a musician on A Thousand Fuegos, Go Die Big City and The Trojan Horse . Her music video Devil from 2009 was nominated for the Content Award Vienna in the Fempower category and for the FM4 Award at the Amadeus Austrian Music Awards , and the music video In pieces for the ASIFA AUSTRIA AWARD / Best Austrian Animation 2011. Anna Kohlweis is currently presenting under the alias Squalloscope , which is supposed to represent a personal new beginning. Under this alias she released the album Soft Invasions and the EP desert EP (also under the Seayou Records label) and performed a. A. in Berlin and New York.

Anna Kohlweis was born in Klagenfurt in 1984. There she attended the Realgymnasium BRG Klagenfurt-Viktring with special emphasis on musical education. From 2004 to 2009 she was enrolled at the University of Vienna studying theater, film and media studies, and since 2008 she has been at the Academy of Fine Arts Vienna. Anna Kohlweis currently lives in Vienna.
