Anna Kuchar is an Austrian Righteous Among the Nations .

In May 1942, the Jew Rosalia Wasserstein (married Ista) learned of the arrest of her mother by the SS and the impending deportation. Seeking help turned to her friend Franziska Cechal . This water stone was hidden in her apartment in Vienna . In order to reduce the risk of discovery through frequent raids by the SS or through denunciation by the neighbors, Wasserstein changed hiding places more frequently, including living in the apartments of Anna Kuchar and Maria Böhm . The three women also provided them with food and clothing. Since Wasserstein did not have a ration card, shared u. a. Kuchar, whose husband was a worker and who also had two children to look after, her few supplies of water stone.
