Live and act

Anna Pavignano first began to study medicine, but finally decided to change her subject and started studying psychology. With 22 years they learned in the recording of RAI telecast Non stop - Ballata senza manovratore the actor Massimo Troisi know, with his three-member troupe "La smorfia" were some satirical skits at the best in this TV show. From then on Anna Pavignano and Massimo Troisi were not just lovers, but merged into an artistic unit: When Troisi switched to film in 1981 and worked there both as an actor and director, Anna Pavignano was the scriptwriter of his productions several times.

When Troisi died, he had just finished his greatest film hit , The Postman , with British director Michael Radford , on which Pavignano had worked as one of several authors. For the performance shown there, she received, together with Troisi, Radford Furio Scarpelli and Giacomo Scarpelli, an Oscar nomination in 1996 and another nomination for the BAFTA award. Troisi's death marked a serious turning point in Anna Pavignano's life, and she initially turned her back on film until the beginning of the new millennium. In 2001 she resumed her film work and preferred to write manuscripts for productions by Alessandro D'Alatri , but also several times for such Radfords in the 2010s. Anna Pavignano has also worked as a writer since the mid-2000s and has so far published several novels. With her first work Da domani mi alzo tardi , she worked on the relationship with Troisi in a semi-biographical manner.
