Annakin (born February 22, 1975 in Baden AG , real name Ann Kathrin Lüthi ) is a Swiss musician from Zurich .
Live and act
Ann Kathrin Lüthi has a classical vocal training and started her musical career as the front woman of the Swiss trip-hop band Swandive , which was founded in 1995 and disbanded in 2002. After that, Ann Kathrin Lüthi was often active as a singer in performances by Adrian Weyermann and Mich Gerber .
Since 2007, Ann Kathrin Lüthi has released five albums under her stage name Annakin , which can still be stylistically assigned to trip-hop. The first three albums were mainly produced by Jono Buchanan. The fourth and fifth albums, released on September 16, 2016, were produced by Dimitri Tikovoi.
live
Annakin has so far appeared live with her four-piece band and mainly plays her own pieces, occasionally also cover versions. These concerts are often accompanied by visuals in the background, which mostly correspond to the graphic appearance of the current album or video clips. Furthermore, there are always smaller duo appearances, only supported by a guitar. Annakin also experiments with other formations, such as B. the Zurich Chamber Orchestra . There are always minor changes in the line-up of the live band, but the past tours were mainly performed with the following musicians: Ambrosius Huber ( cello ), Matthias Kräutli ( drums , My Name Is George ), Tom Etter ( guitar , Züri West ), Adrian Weyermann (guitar, The Weyers ) and Thomas Winkler ( keyboard , crank ).
