Annalize Schweizer (* 1949 in Zufikon ) is a Swiss politician (formerly GPS , now non-party).

Life

Until her resignation at the end of 1997, Schweizer was a councilor at Zufiker. The vocational school teacher was elected on December 31, 2003 to the Grand Council of the Canton of Aargau as representative of the Bremgarten district; in 2005 she was re-elected.

On January 23, 2007 she resigned from the Green Group in the Grand Council and also left the party. The resignation sparked a debate as to whether a non-attached member was entitled to a seat on the commissions. The Grand Council decided on May 22, 2007 by 70 votes to 53 that the Green Party could occupy the seats it was entitled to elsewhere. In 2009, Schweizer ran for Bremgarten L plus on its own list , but was no longer elected.
