Anne-Marie Idrac
Anne-Marie Idrac (born July 27, 1951 in Saint-Brieuc ) has been State Secretary in the French Ministry of Economics and Finance since March 18, 2008, where she is responsible for foreign trade. Before that, she held various public offices in France.
After graduating from the École nationale d'administration (ENA), she held various posts in French ministries. In 1995 she was appointed State Secretary in the Ministry of Transport. During her term of office the debt relief of the SNCF fell through the creation of the rail infrastructure authority RFF . In September 2002 she became president of the Paris public transport company RATP . From July 2nd, 2006 to February 27th, 2008 she was chairwoman of the national railway SNCF . In this capacity, she put the youngest French high-speed line, the LGV Est européenne, into operation on June 10, 2007 . On the same day, she and Hartmut Mehdorn signed the founding documents for Alleo , the joint venture with Deutsche Bahn that operates international express services on the route.
She is married to Francis Cloud Idrac.
