Anne Schneider (legal scholar)

Anne Schneider (born June 7, 1983 in Wuppertal ) is a German legal scholar . She's since 2019 Chairholder of the Chair for Criminal Law , Criminal Procedure Law and Economic Criminal Law at the University of Mannheim .

Life

Anne Schneider passed her Abitur in 2002 in Remscheid . She then studied law at the Westfälische-Wilhelms-Universität Münster and graduated in 2007 with the first legal examination. In 2008 she obtained a Master of Laws in Commercial Law from the University of the West of England . In 2010, she was with a thesis on "The standard of behavior in international criminal law" to Dr. iur. PhD . She passed the assessor examination in 2012 at the State Justice Examination Office in Düsseldorf . In 2018 she completed her habilitation under Martin Böse at the Rheinische Friedrich-Wilhelms-Universität Bonn with a thesis on "Criminal investigative measures and the right to refuse to give evidence" and acquired the venia legendi for criminal law, criminal procedure law, international and European criminal law, comparative criminal law and commercial criminal law.

Her research and publication focus is on European and international criminal law and criminal procedure law. She is co-editor of the journal for all procedural law .
