Annefleur Kalvenhaar (born June 10, 1994 in Wierden ; † August 23, 2014 in Grenoble , France ) was a Dutch cyclist who was active as a mountain biker , in cyclo-cross races and in road cycling .

At the age of 13, Kalvenhaar got a racing bike for his birthday and began to compete in cycling races. In 2011 she was Dutch junior mountain bike champion and again the following year; In 2012 she was also the Dutch junior champion in cyclo-cross racing. In 2013 she won the gold medal at the European Cyclocross Championships (U-23) and was the Dutch runner-up on mountain bikes.

On August 22, 2014, Kalvenhaar, a physiotherapy student , started qualifying for the Mountain Bike World Cup finals in Méribel, France . In the time trial, she hit the edge of a wooden bridge, rolled over downhill and suffered severe cerebral hemorrhage. She was brought by helicopter to the Center hospitalier universitaire de Grenoble , where she succumbed to her injuries a day later. It was the first fatal incident in the history of the Mountain Bike World Cup.
