Méribel is a winter sports resort in the Savoie department in the French Alps . It belongs to the municipality of Les Allues . The place consists of two parts: Méribel (1400 meters), which grew out of a historic town center, and the Méribel-Mottaret ski station at 1750 meters above sea level.
