Les Allues

Les Allues is a commune with 1,841 inhabitants (at January 1, 2017) in the department of Savoie in the region of Auvergne Rhône-Alpes . It belongs to the Arrondissement of Albertville and the Canton of Moûtiers . She is a member of the Val Vanoise Tarentaise municipal association .

geography

Les Allues is located on the north side of the Vanoise massif , around 30 kilometers southeast of Albertville . The municipality covers the valley of the river Doron des Allues up to the adjacent mountain ridges and reaches the highest point in the extreme south with the mountain summit Aiguille de Péclet ( 3564  m ). The two glacier areas Glacier de Gebrulaz and Glacier de Borgne are also in the district. These high alpine areas are part of the Vanoise National Park . Neighboring communities are:

Transport links

The valley is accessed by the D90 département road. At the same time, a cable car runs from Brides-les-Bains to Méribel. At Méribel there is also the Altiport de Méribel , an airfield at an altitude of about 1700 meters.
