Montailleur is a French municipality with 679 inhabitants (as of January 1 2017) in the department of Savoie in the region of Auvergne Rhône-Alpes (before 2016 Rhône-Alpes ). Montailleur belongs to the canton of Albertville-2 (until 2015 canton of Grésy-sur-Isère ) in the arrondissement of Albertville and is a member of the Communauté d'agglomération Arlysère .
geography
Montailleur is about 28 kilometers east-northeast of Chambéry and about ten kilometers southwest of Albertville an der Isère , which forms the southeastern border. Montailleur is surrounded by the neighboring communities of Cléry in the north, Saint-Vital in the east and northeast, Sainte-Hélène-sur-Isère in the south and southeast, Aiton in the south, Grésy-sur-Isère in the west and southwest, and École in the west and northwest. The community is located within the Massif des Bauges Regional Nature Park .
