Bonvillard is located about 29 kilometers east-northeast of Chambéry and about twelve kilometers southwest of Albertville . Bonvillard is surrounded by the neighboring communities of Sainte-Hélène-sur-Isère in the north, Saint-Paul-sur-Isère in the east, Montsapey in the southeast, Bonvillaret in the south and Aiton in the west.
