Beaufort Town Hall

Beaufort (also: Beaufort-sur-Doron ) is a French municipality with 2040 inhabitants (as of January 1 2017) in the department of Savoie in the region of Auvergne Rhône-Alpes . It belongs to the canton of Ugine in the arrondissement of Albertville . The inhabitants are called Beaufortains .

geography

Beaufort is located in the Beaufortain massif on the Doron River . Beaufort is surrounded by the neighboring municipalities of Hauteluce in the north, Les Contamines-Montjoie in the northeast, Bourg-Saint-Maurice in the east, Les Chapelles and La Plagne Tarentaise in the southeast, Aime-la-Plagne in the south, La Léchère , Cevins , La Bâthie and Tours-en-Savoie in the southwest and Queige and Villard-sur-Doron in the west.

The municipality includes the small towns of Ladray and Aréche (s) .
