The Canton Ugine is a French administrative unit in the department of Savoie in the region of Auvergne Rhône-Alpes . It comprises 16 parishes in the Albertville arrondissement and has its main town (French: bureau centralisateur ) in Ugine . With the nationwide reorganization of the French cantons, it was expanded to include the canton of Beaufort and other individual municipalities in the canton of Albertville-Nord , thereby significantly increasing it.

Until the reorganization, the eight municipalities of Cohennoz , Crest-Voland , Flumet , La Giettaz , Marthod , Notre-Dame-de-Bellecombe , Saint-Nicolas-la-Chapelle and Ugine belonged to the canton of Ugine . Its layout corresponded to an area of 193.31 km 2 . Before 2015 it had a different INSEE code than it does today, namely 7328.
