The Canton Chambéry-1 is a French administrative unit in the department of Savoie in the region of Auvergne Rhône-Alpes . As a result of the nationwide reorganization of the French cantons, it was re-created in 2015 and, in addition to part of the prefecture of Chambéry, includes its northern suburb of Sonnaz . Chambéry is the main town (French:  bureau centralisateur ).
