The canton of Chambéry-Est was a French canton in the Savoie department until 2015 . It comprised the eastern part of the departmental capital Chambéry . The nationwide changes in the composition of the cantons resulted in its dissolution in March 2015. His last representative in the conseil général des Départements was Michel Bouvard ( UMP ) , who was re-elected several times from 1985 to 2015 .
