The canton of Cognin was a French canton in the Savoie department until 2015 , the main town of which was Cognin . The nationwide changes in the composition of the cantons led to the dissolution of the canton in March 2015. His last two representatives in the conseil général des Départements were Jean Fressoz ( DVG ) from 1985 to 2004 and Lionel Mithieux MoDem from 2004 to 2015 .
