Albert Zürner
Albert Zürner (born January 30, 1890 in Hamburg ; † July 18, 1920 ) was a German diver and Olympic champion.
He took part in the 1906 Olympic Intermediate Games in Athens , where he took fourth place in high diving. At the Summer Olympics in London in 1908 , he won the gold medal in jumping . At his third Olympic participation, the 1912 Summer Olympics in Stockholm , he won his second medal, this time silver in diving. He also took part in jumping, where he took fourth place.
Albert Zürner died on July 18, 1920 as a result of a jump accident. In 1988 he was inducted into the international swimming pool 's hall of fame .
