Tremplin du Praz is a ski jumping facility in Courchevel in the French department of Savoie . The complex is also known as the “Stade de Saut à Ski de Courchevel” (German Ski Jumping Stadium Courchevel ) or the “Stade Olympique de Courchevel” (German Olympic Stadium Courchevel ).
history
The first ski jumps existed in Courchevel as early as the 40s of the last century. The first ski jump on the site of today's Olympic Stadium was built in 1944.
1990 were for the XVI. Olympic Winter Games in Albertville, the ski jumping hills in the Courchevel district were generously renovated and expanded.
All hills are covered with plastic mattings and are mainly used for training today.

The Olympic champion was Toni Nieminen from Finland on February 16, 1992 , the team competition on the large hill was won by the team from Finland .

The hill has a valid FIS certificate . On August 14, 2012, the first mixed team competition took place there as part of the Summer Grand Prix and one day later the first individual competition for women as part of this competition.
On February 9, 1992, Ernst Vettori from Austria secured the Olympic gold medal .
