Rok Zima (born August 7, 1988 in Kranj ) is a former Slovenian ski jumper who started for the NSK Trzic Trifix .

Career

Zima jumped internationally for the first time on March 5, 2006 in Zakopane and took 10th place in the FIS Cup jumping. It was not until the summer of 2007 that he competed internationally again and surprisingly took 3rd place in an FIS Cup competition in Oberwiesenthal . A few days later he made his debut in the Continental Cup in Villach, Austria , but missed the second round with places 49 and 39. For the first time in the Continental Cup he was able to score points in Velenje, Slovenia (July 4th, 2008) by taking 18th place. In the summer of 2009 he did not take part in any jumping.

It was not until January 16, 2010 that he was used internationally in Titisee-Neustadt in a competition in the Continental Cup and was 12. For the rest of the season he regularly jumped in the Continental Cup, where 8th place in Wisła, Poland, was his best result. At the Slovenian Championships 2010 he reached third place with the team of the NSK Trzic-Trifix in the team competition.

He started the summer of 2010 with a 24th place in Kranj, Slovenia . On July 31, he was able to achieve a podium for the first time in Courchevel with a third place in the Continental Cup. Due to the good Continental Cup performance, he was nominated for the two Grand Prix events in Hakuba . On August 27, 2010 he was 22nd in qualification. In the two competitions he reached 28th and 24th place. On September 12, 2010 he was able to win a Continental Cup show jumping test for the first time in Lillehammer, Norway . On October 1st, 2010 he was able to achieve the best Grand Prix result so far in Liberec with a 12th place. Two days later he missed the second round in Klingenthal as 49th. This summer she finished 41st in the Grand Prix overall ranking with 32 points.

At the Slovenian Ski Jumping Championships in Kranj in 2013 , Zima missed the podium with the team and finished fourth in the team jumping.

After his participation in the Universiade in Predazzo in December 2013 , where he finished 29th in the individual competition, he ended his active sports career.

Zima currently lives in Trzic .
