The Ski Jumping Grand Prix 2008 (official name: FIS Grand Prix Skispringen 2008 ) was a series of competitions in ski jumping held by the FIS World Ski Association between July 26, 2008 and October 4, 2008 . The Grand Prix, which was held at eight different locations in Europe and Asia, consisted of a team and ten individual competitions, nine of which were held in Europe and two in Asia . One of them had to be rescheduled the next day after being demolished due to the weather. The Austrian Gregor Schlierenzauer won the overall standings ahead of the Swiss Simon Ammann and the German Michael Uhrmann . The Austrian defending champion Thomas Morgenstern took seventh place. Austria won the Nations Cup for the eighth time in a row , ahead of the teams from Germany and Switzerland .
