The Ski Jumping Grand Prix 2000 (official name: FIS Grand Prix Skispringen 2000 ) was a series of competitions in ski jumping held by the FIS World Ski Federation between August 5, 2000 and September 3, 2000 . The Grand Prix, which was held at six different locations in Europe and Asia, consisted of a team and eight individual competitions, six of which were held in Europe and four in Asia . Originally, another individual competition was planned to be held in Muju , Korea , but this had to be canceled in advance. The Finn Janne Ahonen won the overall standings ahead of his compatriot Matti Hautamäki and the Japanese Hideharu Miyahira . The defending champion Sven Hannawald from Germany took 35th place. Finland won the Nations Cup ahead of defending champions Japan and Norway .
