Thomas Thurnbichler (born June 19, 1989 in Innsbruck ) is a former Austrian ski jumper .

Career

Like his older brother Stefan, Thurnbichler is a member of the Kitzbühel Ski Club and mostly jumped in the Continental Cup . At the final jump of the Four Hills Tournament 2002/03 in Bischofshofen , where he was used as a forerunner, he made the first double jump in ski jumping history in front of 35,000 spectators: He landed at approx. 80 meters, jumped again and used the increased updraft by another 40 Jump meters further.

At the Junior World Championships 2007 in Tarvisio , Thurnbichler won the bronze medal on the normal hill. He won two Continental Cups in his career .
