Rok Justin (born April 6, 1993 ) is a Slovenian ski jumper .

Career

Justin, who competes for the SSD Stol Žirovnica club, made his international debut as a 13-year-old at the FIS show jumping in Planica on February 24th and 25th, 2007. After finishing lower he was among the best at the junior show jumping in Dobbiaco in March twenty jump. After he showed increasing performances in the FIS jumping and junior competitions in March 2008, he started in the Alpine Cup for the first time on September 5, 2008 . For the first time he made it into the points in December 2008 in Seefeld in Tirol .

At the European Youth Olympic Winter Festival 2009 on the Skalite ski jumps in Szczyrk , Poland , Justin won the gold medal together with Jaka Hvala , Luka Leban and Peter Prevc in the team competition. A week later he was second with the team in the junior jumping in Baiersbronn . At the 2009/10 Alpine Cup in Seefeld, he achieved sixth place, his best individual result to date. After starting in Villach in July 2009 without success , he started again in the FIS Cup in January 2010 . He collected his first FIS Cup points in the first competition in Lauscha .

He was also able to achieve mostly good results in the following competitions in the FIS and Alpine Cups. After he achieved third place in the Alpencup in January in Hinterzarten , he started at the Nordic Junior World Ski Championships in 2011 in Otepää, Estonia , where he and the team achieved fifth place in the team event. Justin jumped to 17th place in the individual competition.

After further good results in the FIS Cup and the Alpine Cup, Justin made his debut in the Ski Jumping Continental Cup on February 19, 2011 . After narrowly missing the points in Kranj's first competition, he won his first Continental Cup points in the second competition. He also achieved this success in the Summer Continental Cup on the same hill. After he continued to be successful in the Alpine Cup and achieved two podium finishes in Ramsau am Dachstein , he started again in the Continental Cup in December 2011. In Engelberg , after a 38th place in the first, he achieved 18th place in the second competition. In January he won both competitions in the FIS Cup on the Trampolino dal Ben in Predazzo . Despite this success, Justin continued to commute between the FIS, Alpine and Continental Cups.

At the Nordic Junior World Ski Championships in 2012 in Erzurum , Turkey , he and the team just missed the podium as fourth in the team competition after jumping to eleventh place in the individual. For the rest of the year Justin stayed in the Alpencup with one exception in July. From the jumping of Zakopane in January 2013 Justin was a permanent member of the Continental Cup. On January 20, 2013 he achieved a respectable success with 22nd place in Bischofshofen in the seventh competition and again won points. Only a week later he was able to celebrate his first Continental Cup podium on the Hochfirstschanze in Titisee-Neustadt with second place. At the Slovenian Ski Jumping Championships in 2013 in Kranj , he reached tenth place in the individual. A good four weeks later Justin won his first two competitions in the Continental Cup on the Tramplin Stork in Nizhny Tagil .

On December 7, 2013 Justin made his World Cup debut in Lillehammer, Norway , but missed participation in the second round as 38th and thus the points. For two weeks he jumped to 16th place on the Gross-Titlis-Schanze in Engelberg and thus achieved his first 15 World Cup points. This is also his best result so far in a World Cup competition.

Justin became Slovenian champion for the first time in October 2018.
