Annemarie Kleinert-Ludwig

Annemarie Kleinert-Ludwig (born February 1, 1947 in Geseke ) is a German cultural historian who was active in research and teaching at the Free University of Berlin , the University of Hanover and the University of California, San Diego . She is currently working as a freelance writer.

Her first and third books are about the history of French women's magazines in the 18th and 19th centuries. The second book is a biography of the prima ballerina Eva Evdokimova , who caused a sensation with Nureyev and many others on stages around the world (died 2009). Kleinert-Ludwig also took part in the five-volume documentation on the history of the Free University. A fifth book outlines the history of the Berliner Philharmoniker from the time when Herbert von Karajan was chief conductor to the present day with Sir Simon Rattle as artistic director. The last book was also published in English and Japanese. She has been married to the physicist Hagen Kleinert since 1974 and has one son.

In numerous articles in the humanities she discovered, among other things, how the young French author Honoré de Balzac began his career.
