Annemarie Leitner , also Anna Leitner and Leitner Annamirl , married. Annemarie Radner (* 1923 in Gallneukirchen ) is an Austrian singer and yodeler .

Live and act

Annemarie Leitner was born as the daughter of the violinist and conductor of the Gallneukirchen band, who supported her musically. She studied singing at the Bruckner Conservatory in Linz and then got an engagement at the Landestheater Linz , where she soon became the operetta audience's favorite due to her exuberant temperament. With Toni Praxmarer she has toured the USA, Germany and Austria. The song I bin from Upper Austria , composed and written by her , soon became a folk song. Robert Thaller engaged Leitner as a singer in the Linzer Buam brass band , with whom she had numerous appearances at home and abroad. Leitner was a popular world star in the 1950s and 1960s. She has appeared as a soloist with Peter Alexander , Toni Sailer and Trude Herr , among others , mainly in Germany; also at the Urfahraner market and at the Wels festival.

She was married to the entrepreneur Alfred Radner from 1951 until his death in 2014. Leitner lives in a senior citizens' home in Linz.
